Notes on coping with shitty distance issues

I'm beginning a series of posts listing my coping mechanisms for when we're apart.
  1. Think positively.
  2. Talk about us often and optimistically.
  3. Make imaginary plans for fun future things in my head.
  4. Repress the fact that I've been counting our hours apart since Sunday.
  5. Watch lots of movies.
  6. Eat disgusting amounts of chocolate.
If you come up with any to add, please do.

27 December 2007: Missing Monkey

Your puppy and I miss you. Didn't see anything interesting today, so this is all you get. I love you.

26 December 2007: Birds on a Wire

Snapped this on my way home from downtown, where I had coffee and a glass of wine with my curly-haired friend, C. All the birds lined up on the wire reminded me of that animated short film where the birds are all lined up on a wire, obviously. When they take off they sort of swarm around in these weird clouds of squawking.

Puppy hoodies: 25 December 2007

Puppies in tiny hoodies... Merry Christmas, baby.

Christmas Chaos: 24 December 2007

Christmas chaos... you can be happy you missed this part.

Christmas Turkey: 24 December 2007

Here's a lovely seasonal photo of our resident wild turkey, Wilson, a.k.a. Rodan. The creepy lighting is the result of a ridiculous full moon.
